Meet Daniela Duskova: a portrait and lifestyle photographer working with natural light, people and the places they feel at home.
I picked up a camera in 2002 and have been photographing people ever since. I am drawn to the meeting of landscape and portrait: a person among trees, in water, or on warm stone. My photographs explore the relationship between raw nature and being human.
I work on location with natural light. Before a shoot, we talk about what you want to create and where the photographs will be used. That might be a personal portrait, a website for your work, or a series for social media.
You do not need to know how to pose. I offer gentle direction and leave space for movement, playfulness and moments that feel like you. We choose a location and clothing that you feel comfortable in.
I also photograph festivals, workshops, retreats and ceremonies, including Ängsbacka Tantra Festival in Sweden. In sensitive spaces I move quietly, work with clear consent and know when to step back. The aim is to preserve the atmosphere without interrupting it.
Prague is my hometown and base. I spend part of the year on Koh Phangan in Thailand and travel for photography across Europe. Write to me to check my current location and available dates.
Your portrait session
A standard session usually takes 1.5 to 2 hours. We work on location with natural light, and we can discuss a half-day or full-day shoot if you would like more time or a wider series of photographs.
We can create close portraits, full-body photographs or a personal series. Lingerie and nude sessions are also possible if that is what you would like. We discuss the scope beforehand and only make images you are comfortable with.
If you feel you are not photogenic, do not know how to pose or are waiting until you look different, I understand. I have had those doubts too. You are enough as you are. I will help you notice your own beauty, your curves and the details that make you unique. There is room for nerves, laughter and a little playfulness.
Portrait packages
Basic: about 1 hour of photography. You receive watermarked previews to make your selection, 10 photographs with basic editing in JPG format and 3 finely retouched images of your choice.
Standard: about 1.5 to 2 hours of photography. Choose from watermarked previews and receive 25 photographs with basic editing in JPG format and 5 finely retouched images. A discount on additional edited images is included.
Premium: about 2 hours of photography. Choose from watermarked previews and receive 60 photographs with basic editing in JPG format and 7 finely retouched images. Discounts on additional images and your next shoot are included.
